Species Reference Sheet: The Runner

Extra info:
Before they started evolving to have more intelligence, they hunted much like hyenas, lions, and wolves. Because they were not at the top of the food chain and they were more vulnerable to injury by their prey, they often would scavenge. As their brains continued developing they learned more efficient hunting strategies and now they can even hunt large game with only two individuals. Like humans, runners are very social creatures. Most of their time before was dedicated to hunting, but with the extra time they developed a detailed language and many rituals. They have two opposable thumbs and with them they build necessities, but since they are in a time of prosperity they don't use their knowledge for tools and shelter so much as for crafting jewelry and decorative items. They are still quite wild and untamed and instinct still dictates much of their behavior.
